My friend decided to get together and try the new Tasty Pot location in Jacksonville. It amazes me that they chose Jacksonville as their first Florida location!
They offer the best sides of Asian - American cuisine, outside of Pho and lumpia, Hot Pot, Ramen, and Boba Tea. Our true basic American Instagram everything instincts were in overdrive.
There were 3 different price points of hot pots offered in order from 1 to 12 according to price. The thing I like initially about both the table and the menu is their allergy icons. I am highly allergic to peanuts so to see a nut icon and immediately know what to avoid was refreshing. Honestly, you need those icons for the number of ingredients they put in each pot.
For my Pescatarian or Vegetarian friends, however, there is only one item outside of the appetizers you can eat. You are able to add in items but FYI the shrimp and everything will still have the shell on so that is additional work for you.
Speaking of appetizers, that Kaarage Chicken is dark meat juicy heaven and the Takoyaki is perfectly cooked so they are definitely recommended. The boba is also delicious (at the same time, it is kind of hard to mess up).
